What Does Battery Life Mean for Earbuds and Headphones?

Battery life tells you how many hours your earbuds or headphones can play on a single charge. For wireless earbuds, you usually see two numbers: battery life of the earbuds themselves and total battery life with the charging case.

Things to keep in mind

  • With ANC on – playtime is usually shorter
  • With ANC off – you get the maximum battery life
  • The charging case adds extra charges, giving you more hours in total

For example, earbuds might last 6 hours on a charge and 24 hours total with the case. This means you can recharge them several times before needing to plug in the case.
